What it does
Peak sets up pipelines, job templates, a starter price book and follow-up that fit your kind of work. You see the whole list before anything changes, and you can untick anything you don't want.
Nothing goes to a customer. Automations arrive switched off until you turn them on, texts wait for quiet hours, and nobody gets a text without their OK.
Answer three questions
Open "Set up for your trade". It's the first step in Get set up, and it's also on the page that says your database is connected.
- What is your trade? Pick Sport courts, Roofing, HVAC, Remodeling, Concrete & flatwork or Painting. Not listed? Click "My trade is not listed" for Electrical, Landscaping, Cleaning, Pest control, Plumbing, Pools & spas or General home services. You can add up to 2 more trades under "We also do".
- How big is the team? Just me, 2-5 people, 6-15 people, or 16 or more.
- Your top 2 goals right now: Get more leads, Answer leads faster, Win more of my quotes, Fewer no-shows, Get more reviews, Get paid faster, or Keep crews busy.
Check what gets set up
The panel "What gets set up" updates as you answer. Each item says why it's there, like "Your trade: Roofing" or "Your goal: Answer leads faster", and what each tool gets:
- CRM: a pipeline with stages, fields and tags for your trade, plus follow-up automations, switched off.
- Estimator: a starter price book, saved as a draft, for sport courts, roofing, HVAC, remodeling, concrete and painting.
- PM: job templates with phases, like a re-roof or a court new build.
Untick anything you don't want. A tool your plan doesn't include shows "Not in your plan yet" and is skipped.
Set it up
- Click "Set it up". The button shows how many items are ticked.
- You'll see "Saved." with a line for each playbook and each tool it set up.
- Click "Back to Basecamp".
Pressing "Set it up" again only adds what's missing. It never edits or removes anything.
If you signed up on your own, connect your database first. Your pipeline, templates and prices are saved in it.
Change your answers later
In the CRM, open Setup, then "Business details". The "Trade and goals" card shows your answers. Click "Change trade and goals". Only an owner or manager can change them.
If something you set up no longer fits your answers, Peak lists it with an "Undo" button. Undo removes only what that playbook added and nobody has used. Anything in use stays. The starter price book stays in the Estimator as a draft, and job templates stay in PM, so remove those there if you don't want them.
