The short version
Crews can clock in, start phases, fill checklists, take photos and leave notes with no signal. The Estimator keeps measurements and site notes. The CRM keeps quick notes. Everything sends on its own when the phone gets signal back.
The same table is in the field app under Today, then Saved for offline, then "What works offline".
PeakPM field app (crews)
| What | Offline | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Today (my day) | Offline: Works offline once saved | Details: Today’s jobs are saved to the phone automatically; coming-up jobs are one tap under “Saved for offline”. |
| Clock in and out | Offline: Works offline | Details: The punch keeps the time you tapped. GPS is recorded when the phone has a fix and never blocks a punch. |
| Start a phase | Offline: Works offline | Details: Counts on the phone right away; the office sees it when the phone syncs. |
| Checklists | Offline: Works offline | Details: Answers show as “waiting to sync” until the office has them. |
| Photos | Offline: Works offline | Details: Kept on the phone and sent in the background; no Retry needed when signal comes back. |
| Daily log | Offline: Works offline | Details: Saved for the day on the form; it never changes what the customer sees. |
| Notes for the office | Offline: Works offline | Details: The text is kept with every keystroke, so closing the app never loses a note. |
| Report an issue | Offline: Works offline | Details: Sent once, however many times the phone retries. |
| Complete a phase | Offline: Needs signal | Details: The office’s rules (required photos and checklist items) are checked when you tap it. |
| Schedule, dispatch and office screens | Offline: Needs signal | Details: Office work needs a connection. |
Estimator (site visits)
| What | Offline | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Open an estimate you opened before | Offline: Works offline once saved | Details: Estimates you opened recently on this device open with no signal. |
| Add or re-measure an area | Offline: Works offline | Details: Shapes, courts, rooms and lines; the area shows as “waiting to sync”. |
| Takeoff from a plan or satellite image | Offline: Works offline | Details: The image never leaves the device; the measured area is kept and sent later. |
| Customer and site details, site notes | Offline: Works offline | Details: Kept and sent later; CRM links stay an online change. |
| Site photos | Offline: Needs signal | Details: Upload when you have signal. |
| Prices, lines and sending a proposal | Offline: Needs signal | Details: Pricing and sending always use the latest price book. |
PeakCRM
| What | Offline | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Open a contact you opened recently | Offline: Works offline once saved | Details: Details, notes and timeline as they were the last time you saw them. |
| Add a quick note | Offline: Works offline | Details: The text is kept as you type; Save keeps it on the device until it sends, once. |
| Edit, pin or delete notes; tasks, messages, deals | Offline: Needs signal | Details: These need a connection. |
A note you save offline shows under "Notes still on this device" as "Waiting to sync", then "Sent".
Everywhere
- A line at the top (field app) or bottom left (Estimator, CRM) says when you’re offline and how many changes are waiting, with Retry.
- Changes send on their own when the signal is back, every 20 seconds, and when you open the app.
- Anything the office refuses stays on screen with Try again; nothing disappears silently.
- On a shared phone or tablet, a different person signing in wipes the saved pages; their own waiting changes stay for them.
Put Peak on your home screen
Peak runs in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. Crews add Peak Field from any field page. Owners add Peak from Basecamp.
- iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen".
- Android (Chrome): open the menu (three dots), then "Add to Home screen" or "Install app".
Open each page you'll need once while you have signal. That's what saves it to the phone.
