Remove or Restore a Workspace

Archive a workspace you no longer need, restore it within 30 days, and what happens to your data after that.

What removing a workspace does

  • Right away, the workspace disappears for everyone. Members lose access, nothing scheduled in it runs or sends, and its forms stop taking submissions.
  • For 30 days, its owners can restore it exactly as it was. Every owner gets an email with the restore link.
  • After 30 days, Peak permanently deletes what it holds for that workspace: records, files, saved app connections and their keys.

If your workspace runs on your own database, Peak never deletes that database. It only drops its saved connection to it.

Before you start

  • Only an owner of the workspace can remove it. Managers can't.
  • You need to have signed in within the last 15 minutes. If not, Peak asks you to sign in again.
  • Want a copy of everything? Click "Download full export" on the same card first.
  • The demo workspace can't be removed.

Remove a workspace

  1. In the CRM, open "Privacy requests" under Setup in the left menu.
  2. On the "Remove this workspace" card, click "Remove workspace…".
  3. Read what will happen. Then type the workspace's short name in the box that says "Type (name) to confirm".
  4. Click "Archive workspace". You'll see the date you can restore it until.

You can also ask Sherpa to remove a workspace. It always asks you to confirm first.

Restore a workspace

  1. Open the link in the email Peak sent when the workspace was archived. It takes you to "Archived workspaces".
  2. Find the workspace and click "Restore".

If you sign in and all your workspaces are archived, you'll see a "Restore an archived workspace" button instead.

Restoring brings the workspace back as it was. Team invitations that were waiting when it was archived stay canceled, so send them again.
