What Sherpa did today
Basecamp has a "What Sherpa did today" card with the latest five actions. Click "See all" to open the Sherpa control room with the whole day.
Each line says what happened in plain words: who asked, how (chat, text, or a connected AI app like Claude), which tool, what they asked for, and how it went. When a field changed, you see it as before and after.
Owners and managers see everyone's Sherpa actions. Everyone else sees their own.
Undo a change
There are three ways to undo something Sherpa did.
| How | Time limit | What it undoes |
|---|---|---|
| Click "Undo" on a line in the control room | Time limit: 23 hours | What it undoes: That one change. Only the person who asked for it sees the button. |
| Tap the "UNDO" button under Sherpa's reply in chat | Time limit: 10 minutes | What it undoes: The changes from your last message. |
| Send the word UNDO by chat or text | Time limit: 10 minutes | What it undoes: The changes from your last message, newest first. |
Sherpa can only reverse what the tool can reverse. Something already sent to a customer can't be unsent. If undo isn't possible, Sherpa tells you, and you change it in the tool.
Before you say yes
When Sherpa needs your OK, its card shows "What changes": each field with the old value crossed out and the new value next to it. For example, "Start: Mon Oct 19 → Thu Oct 22". Reply YES to go ahead or NO to stop.
Owner controls
In the control room, "What Sherpa may touch" has two switches. Only an owner can change them, after entering their authenticator code. They only ever make Sherpa more careful.
- "Read-only for connected AI": Claude, ChatGPT and other apps connected to Peak can look things up but change nothing. Chat and texts with Sherpa aren't affected.
- "Jobs and crews": limit which jobs and crews Sherpa may change in Projects, for everyone or just field crews, the office or managers, on every channel or just one. Choose the jobs or crews and click "Add limit". Look-ups aren't limited.
Money and customer messages always wait for an owner or manager, whatever these switches say.
